• What if I’m currently undergoing fertility treatments (Clomid, IUI, IVF)?
Great Question! Woman undergoing assisted reproductive techniques (In-Vitro fertilization or Intra-uterine Insemination) can use this cleanse too. My team and I have loads of experience in working with women who are undergoing fertility treatments. We would discuss with you in detail the most optimal time for you to cleanse and undergo acupuncture treatments.
• How Does Acupuncture work?
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to heal naturally by improv ing overall bodily function and preventing disease. This is done by inserting very fine, sterilized, stainless-steel, disposable needles into specific points located near or on the surface of the skin. Acupuncture has the ability to treat a wide variety of illnesses by altering various biochemical and physiological conditions within the body.
• How regularly can I cleanse?
Based on your health history, my team and I will let you know what would work best for each individual. Generally speaking, I wouldn’t recommend cleansing more than once every 4–6 weeks. And, in some cases, just doing the cleanse once is enough to jumpstart your fertility.
• What if I my body doesn’t feel well eating all “raw” food?
Not everyone does. And, that is definitely a fact my team and I will take into consideration when we meet with you. Together with BluePrint’s Registered Dietician and Clinical Nutritionist, Julie Ruelle, my team will work with you to adjust the cleanse to best suit your body. In Chinese Medicine, we often only encourage a diet of cooked foods. Being the BPC would be 3 days out of every month of this plan we can easily remedy this by adding warming spices like fresh ginger, fennel, clove and cinnamon to the raw food juice plans. And, if your body needs more fat or calories, we will adjust for that too. The food part of the cleanse is to help detoxify your body, get your hormones in check and get you on a healthier eating regimen!
